Clearing Cache & Cookies

Clearing your cache and cookies can fix many common issues like pages not loading, outdated content, or login problems.

When to Clear Cache

Clear your cache if you experience:
  • Pages not loading properly
  • Seeing outdated information
  • Login issues or being logged out unexpectedly
  • Layout or display problems
  • Features not working after an update

Quick Instructions by Browser

Chrome

Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl + Shift + Delete (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + Delete (Mac) Manual steps:
  1. Click the three dots menu → Settings
  2. Click Privacy and securityClear browsing data
  3. Select Time range: “All time”
  4. Check:
    • ✓ Cookies and other site data
    • ✓ Cached images and files
  5. Click Clear data

Safari

Keyboard shortcut: Cmd + Option + E (clears cache only) Manual steps:
  1. Click SafariSettings (or Preferences)
  2. Go to Privacy tab
  3. Click Manage Website Data
  4. Search for “rallies”
  5. Select and click Remove
  6. Or click Remove All for everything

Firefox

Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl + Shift + Delete (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + Delete (Mac) Manual steps:
  1. Click the hamburger menuSettings
  2. Click Privacy & Security
  3. Scroll to Cookies and Site Data
  4. Click Clear Data
  5. Check both options and click Clear

Edge

Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl + Shift + Delete Manual steps:
  1. Click the three dots menu → Settings
  2. Click Privacy, search, and services
  3. Under “Clear browsing data,” click Choose what to clear
  4. Select Cookies and Cached images and files
  5. Click Clear now

Clear Cache for Rallies Only

If you don’t want to clear all your data, you can clear just Rallies data:

Chrome

  1. Go to chrome://settings/siteData
  2. Search for “rallies”
  3. Click the trash icon next to each entry

Safari

  1. Safari → Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  2. Search for “rallies”
  3. Select and remove

Firefox

  1. Click the lock icon in the address bar
  2. Click Clear cookies and site data

Edge

  1. Go to edge://settings/siteData
  2. Search for “rallies”
  3. Delete the entries

After Clearing Cache

After clearing:
  1. Refresh the page - Press Ctrl/Cmd + R or F5
  2. Log in again - You may be logged out
  3. Check if the issue is resolved
If the issue persists, try a hard refresh: Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + R

Hard Refresh

A hard refresh forces the browser to ignore cache:
BrowserWindows/LinuxMac

SafariN/ACmd + Option + R
FirefoxCtrl + Shift + RCmd + Shift + R
EdgeCtrl + Shift + RCmd + Shift + R

What Gets Deleted

Cookies

  • Your login session (you’ll need to log in again)
  • Saved preferences
  • Session data

Cache

  • Stored images and files
  • Downloaded scripts
  • Temporary data

What’s NOT Deleted

  • Bookmarks
  • Saved passwords (usually separate setting)
  • Your Rallies account data (stored on our servers)

Clearing Mobile Browser Cache

iOS Safari

  1. Go to SettingsSafari
  2. Tap Clear History and Website Data
  3. Confirm

Chrome on iOS/Android

  1. Open Chrome
  2. Tap three dotsSettings
  3. Tap Privacy (or Privacy and security)
  4. Tap Clear browsing data
  5. Select options and tap Clear
